Your Avenue newsletter follows a standard outline that leaves room for you to add in personalized content for your readers to engage with.



If you choose not to personalize your newsletter by the deadline date it will still go out with our standard content.


What can be customized directly in the Newsletter Editor tool?


Subject line

The default is “[Month] newsletter”. Change it to whatever.


Introduction

Avenue provides a standard introduction note in this section. Alternatively you can use this section to add in your own personalized text! If you don't tweak this before the deadline, then, the newsletter will be sent out with our standard intro.

Custom Content

Use the content adder to add your own personal articles, videos or image blocks into the newsletter. You can add custom articles, videos or stats you've found online. Learn more about how to write great custom content here!

These will appear right below your introduction above our articles, so your readers will see your personal touch first!


Standard content

Avenue provides three types of content for all newsletters. You can choose to keep or remove our articles by using the check boxes.

1. Light and Engaging Article - Written by our marketing team, some subjects include: gardening tips, home decor, home staging and seasonally relevant content.

2. Tips and Resources - Three fun and engaging sources from around the web to keep your readers entertained.

3. Real Estate Board Article - This is an article published by your real estate board each month that contains information about the market specific to your region.

Featured Listings

Up to 15 of your most recent listings. These pull automatically from your website and can only be showcased in order of date published. You can customize which listings show in the newsletter directly in the Listings Manager tool. First, click into the listing you want to edit. Then, toggle the Newsletter button on (as pictured).


FAQ: The newsletter button is toggled on, but my listing isn't showing up in the newsletter preview. How do I include it? This listing is likely a bit older or has already been included in a previous newsletter. Simply toggle the Newsletter button off, then on again and be sure to hit Save at the bottom of the page! This will refresh the listing in your newsletter.


What can the Avenue team help me change?

Heads up! We need any extra requests submitted before 3:00pm PST on the last business day before the 15th, otherwise we won't be able to tweak things for you.

Header image - Feel free to submit a new header image for your newsletter

Personal image - Send us your new headshot to include in your signature
Predefined search parameters - We can update the price limits, property types, and area filters for this section.


Limitations 🚫

What can't be changed in my newsletter?


🚫 Change the date the newsletter is sent out. We work from a shared delivery system and so all newsletters go out at 9am local time on the 15th of the month. (Or nearest business day).

🚫 Change the order of the newsletter: We can remove sections completely for you but unfortunately we cannot change the order in which they are displayed as they are hard-coded. We cannot create a newsletter based on your mock-ups either-sorry!

🚫 Update the average price for your property search section. This average is calculated based on the listings included. We can't override it, but we can update the price limits, property types, and area filters for this section to reflect the business or price point that you most commonly service.

🚫 Make any changes after the deadline has passed. Our team can help with any requests made up until 3pm PST on the day before the newsletter goes out. You can make edits in your Avenue Account until 2 hours before the newsletter goes out. After that, the content is locked in & we can't edit or skip the newsletter after it has been sent out.
