Steps to buying your new domain: 

1. Think about what you want your domain name to be.

• If you're not sure, johnsmith.com/ca as always a good bet, simple and easy to remember for your clients.

• Another option would be johnsmithhomes.com or johnsmithrealty.com - some boards don't let you use 'real estate' in your advertising, so double check with your board if you're planning to use johnsmithrealestate.com.

2. Choose your domain provider website

• Our recommended domain providers are Godaddy and Google

3. Buy your domain

• You'll be asked to create an account & add your credit card - remember your login!

• IMPORTANT - be sure to set your domain to auto-renew; letting it lapse will lead to your website going down, and many domain companies charge a hefty fee to repurchase the domain.

4. Give Avenue access to your domain new account
