How do I add contacts to my subscriber list?

Why aren't my Avenue platform and Newsletter contacts lists the same?
Your newsletter contacts are stored in Mailchimp and can be added in in a few ways:
1. Add them to your Mailchimp account! (If we made the account for you, get in touch and we'll send over your login!)
2. Send us your contacts as a 3-column CSV via Live Chat. Learn how to format your contacts.
3. Add them to the Newsletter Subscriber form on your website!
This syncs directly with your Mailchimp account.
How many contacts can I have?
Mailchimp is free to use, as long as you have under 500 subscribers. If you exceed this amount, Mailchimp will begin billing you as a monthly subscriber. If you've exceeded your 500 subscribers and don't want to pay Mailchimp additional fees, let us know and we can remove inactive subscribers from your list for you.
Gathering your contacts
Start by exporting them from any outside CRM software, or anywhere else you have customer data stored (eg. Top Producer, IXACT Contact, other MailChimp accounts, etc.)
You can export contacts from your Avenue Account. Here is a video how to do that. Once you have the CSV, email it over to help@avenuehq.com and we can add this to your Mailchimp subscribers list!
Formatting your contacts
Please send us your contacts as a 3-column CSV file with the following 3 columns:
First name | Last Name | Email Address
Please refrain from sending us your whole database with all the extra columns and client information such as addresses and phone numbers-that's a lot of data!
If you'd like to do it yourself, get in touch with us for your MailChimp login—then, you can log in and add contacts manually.
Why aren't my Avenue platform and Newsletter contacts lists the same?
Due to national email privacy laws, a newsletter subscriber needs to directly consent to receiving emails from you. We're not allowed to create a direct connection between your Avenue leads and your newsletter unless they use the newsletter sign-up link directly.
